This past summer The Carnegie Gallery in Dundas featured
an exhibition called Look Again: Another Take on the Portrait. Each
subject was shown in a large portrait, with nine small experimental
studies alongside. The artist was Janet Kimantas, and her
explanation of this show, and of her practice in general amounts to
the self-portrait of a fascinating thinker.
